Back to School
Ok, I hate to post this...but here it goes.
I'm back to school this week.
Wednesday staff is back and the little kidos start back on the 23rd.
I've had a really wonderful summer!
It has been so relaxing and I don't say that often enough.
I went to visit my family in Missouri and also attended
my nephew's wedding.
While on the road we visited several great places including Pilot Mountain. I posted about it here.
Truly a beautiful place!
I've tried out several new recipes and all have been yummy!
I have enjoyed all the new blogs I've found several super blog friends that share such wonderful ideas of theirs and their kids! (You know who you are!)
I have done some painting around the house. Finally finished the upstairs and garage doors thanks to my family. I've also done loads of cleaning and organizing. Still lots to do in that area!
I visited my son and his wife in DC, gone picnicking and played at the beach.
Crochet has really been occupying my time theses past few weeks! I've made loads of wash cloths, flowers, and 3 winter scarves. There were lots of starting and stopping so I could learn a new stitch.
I am now in the middle of a beautiful afghan.
But now that all has to come to a screeching halt!
As of Wednesday my focus will be all about school
and the kidos.
I must say I am looking forward to it maybe just a little.
I always like to make little treats for children. It's my way
of bribery. Ha ha!
I have found so many super ideas in blog land that I can use at or for school.
Like this from Work In Progress.
There are so many cute ideas!
I have found several other good ideas but I can't save them all.
Well....Maybe I can.
I've opened and account over at Pinterest. What a cool place.
You can save all sorts of photos you like that you've found on the web. Then when it's saved it has the link of where you found it. You save all your "pins" on these boards that you create. Real easy! I have ideas saved for home, school and food.
You should check it out. Just click on my link at the top of my page.
I will leave you all with a pic of my blanket project. Have a great week!

Melanie, still there is always more to do. Your friends are prop already back in school. That's why they get out earlier than we do.

Thought I'd check back and I see you asked me a question! :) Well, when my kids go back to school on the 30th of Aug. I will still be watching my little nephew 3 days a week, maybe 4, maybe 5 days. I have to see. The baby's grandma usually watches him 2 days a week, but she got a full time job and won't be able to watch him anymore. I love my nephew to pieces, but I don't really want to watch him 40 hours a week. It's just too much only because my kids are at a great age and so independent and I am loving their age and how it's so easy and fun to do stuff with them, or when they are at school, it is awesome for me to get things done like grocery shop, which they hate, or go to the craft store, which they hate! So, what I plan to do with my free days while the kids are in school is: grocery shop, meet my friends at Starbucks or go to breakfast or lunch with my friends, go to the public library all by myself and spend as much time as I want without anyone asking if it's time to go yet LOL, clean the house and do specific cleaning projects, get back to baking whole wheat bread twice a week, cooking better meals and blah, blah, blah! LOL

Bonnie, I don't bland you for not wanting to watch him for 40 hours a week. Being able to spend time with your kids is invaluable! My kids loved it when I helped out at school. Man, running errands at Starbucks is such a drag! Ha ha!
