Spring Trees
I have been seeing several cute egg trees lately. In the past I always put up seasonal decorations but in past few years I've gotten out of the habit. Well I thought this would be a cute idea for my kidos at school. I think we might ever have an egg coloring contest. Anyway...this weekend I snipped some twigs from tree in my back yard. You should have seen me. I was in my cut off sweet pants that have paint all over them and a shirt that was just scary! Well naturally when you look
your worst is when I get to see my neighbors. I can go for weeks and not see a single neighbor. But the day I look like crap, well you know....
I sprayed the branches with grey paint. (It was the only spray paint I had except black.)
Then I found my Easter stash of plastic eggs. I thought I would be doing this myself but my daughter jumped right in. She loves to help mom decorate.

I think It's kinda cute.

Now I need to make another one to take to school. Not sure what container I will use. Don't want it to get knocked over and broken and with twenty two kids that could happen.
Last but not least... My pink dogwood is blooning!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.

Day dream'n of bedrooms.
Now that my stairs are getting close to being finished my mind is off thinking of another project. Isn't is bedroom lovely. That should be me in that picture! (I guess I should have cropper that photo out.) I don't even like four poster beds that much but the over all room just speaks to me. Saying: "Hey Peggy, you want me!"

How about that grass cloth on the walls and the bed skirt! Love that bed skirt. I wonder if I could make something like that? If amyone of you all out there have made a bed skirt please give me a shout out. I meed all the help I can get.

Sorry I don't remember were I found the photo from. Probably HGTV.

Have a great Friday! Yea!!!!

Spring Tripping
Now that the weather is nice I thought it was high time I got out and about. My first trip was to New Bern.
I have been there several times before but there is always more to uncover. Oh my goodness the flowers were just beautiful!
Oh... by the way New Bern is the birth place of Pepsi Cola. It was called Brad's drink.
It is a very old colonial town. It was founded in 1710 by a man from Switzerland. That is where the name came from, Bern, Switzerland.
The Tryon Palace was the first governors home in North Carolina. Is has been beautifully restored and has beautiful grounds. They have a lovely candle light tour and Christmas time. I posted some pictures of the gardens last summer when I was there with my sister.
This building was built in 1792.

This is St Paul's church built in 1841.

There are lots of alleys ways here. I even ran into a small band playing for a donation in on alley. I'm sorry I didn't get a photo. There's a ghost walk advertised. I think I will have to check that out soon.

So much to see so little time!

Thanks for stopping by. Sorry I have been away for so long.
