Add a signature and blogging problems
Have you all noticed my new signature?
I have learned so much since I have started blogging. I've read so many crafts and recipes and found so much inspiration.
However...
I would like to ask you all if any of you are having posting problems?
Frequently when I post, the formatting get all messed up. When I try to have a title, it always blends in like it's the start of a paragraph.
I try over and over again to correct it. I even try to edit the Html with no luck. Sometimes I have trouble adding color to my fonts. Again at the ending I always like to space before I say goodbye.
It's always the little thing that mess me up. This causes me a lot of anguish. What started out as a quick post ends up taking for ever!
I have already changed to Google chrome.
I don't know what to do.
Help!
Excuse me...
Back to the signature.
I have noticed some neat blogs where the author would have a signature at the end. I think that looks really cute, so now I'm trying it. I found a link that is very easy to use. They will walk you through the process. You can find the link here. You will chose a font, color, and size that suits you. You don't need and account and it's free. After you finished, your signature will show up on every page.
I hope you all enjoy this.
Please tell me what you think.
There is still lots more to learn.

Broccoli Slaw Salad
Have you ever had one of those times that you wanted something to eat that was almost like a craving? Well that was me yesterday!
My mom used to make this broccoli slaw salad that was so good. Unfortunately I never got the recipe before she passed away.
So again I'm searching the internet looking for a recipe. My gosh! There certainly are a lot to chose from!
I think I finally found one that is as close as I can remember. If any of you all have a recipe like this please let me know.
Recipe:
1 small bag of broccoli slaw
1/4 of a red onion
1 package Ramen noodles- chicken flavor packet is for the dressing
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Dressing:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vinegar
1 table spoon sugar
seasoning packet from the Ramen noodles
I didn't use all of the dressing because I don't like my salads to soggy.
This really is more of a summer salad.
It is so pretty and so yummy! My kids even liked it.
I've found similar recipes with raisins and one with apples. They all looked really good.
I really don't think you can mess this up.
Thanks for stopping by.

Chicken Pasta Chili
I found another really good recipe.
And no I didn't get it from PW. Ha ha!
My family really likes Tex-Mex, so when I ran across this from Picky Palate I couldn't wait to try it. You can find her recipe here.
Oh my, doesn't this look yummy!
I love cooking in my cast iron skillet. I use it quite a lot.
This is an easy recipe to put together. Great for a pot luck because it will serve several. Several years my mother-in-law gave me a recipe and on the back of the card she had written,"Good to take to a funeral as it serves many." Oh my gosh! How funny. I have never forgotten that.
Recipe:
8 ounces wagon pasta noodles

1 cup finely chopped white onion

1/2 cup finely chopped yellow bell peppers

1 tablespoon minced garlic

2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 cups cooked shredded chicken breast

1o ounce can Rotel diced tomatoes, mild

1 1/2 cups reduced sodium chicken broth

1/2 cup corn, fresh or canned

1/2 cup white beans, drained and rinsed

1 Tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 Tablespoon dry Ranch seasoning from packet

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro

Cook pasta and drain. Saute onions and peppers about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook stirring for 1 minute. Add chicken, tomatoes, broth, corn, beans, pasta, chili powder, cumin, Ranch seasoning and cilantro. Stir until well combined. Reduce heat to low and simmer until ready to serve.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Stuffed White Chocolate Chip Cookies
Well doesn't that just about say it all!
I found this recipe at Pickey Palate. You can find
the recipe here along with pictures.
This is a really easy recipe and quick to put
together.
However I wasn't prepared for how delicious it was!
Be warned!! These are big cookies and you might not be able to finish the whole cookie in one setting.
This is two cookies together with filling in the middle.
The original recipe called for Biscoff spread. I have never used this before and it's not in my local grocery store. So I substituted Nutella instead.
Wow! This will knock your socks off!
Recipe:
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
Biscoff Spread ( Nutella Spread)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper, I used a stone.
Combine sugars, eggs and vanilla and cream together.
In a separate bowl mix all the dry ingredients.
Slowly add to the wet and dry ingredients together and then add chips.
Scoop cookie dough with a medium scoop a place on sheet. With your thumb press a small well and add the spread there. Place another scoop on the top.
You well have to gently press the two together. Some of the spread will ooze out.
It looks a little "rustic" but I think it looks good that way.
Bake for 15 min until edges are slightly brown.
Enjoy!

Flower Power / Four O'clock's
Today when I got home from school my daughter and I went to Ulta for beauty supplies. We almost bought out the store. Not really. What started out as a quick run for shampoo turned into a shopping frenzy. We bought two types of shampoo, one for her and one for me. Also mouse and hairspray and something called;d:fi beach bum and blow pro. Cha ching!
I was thinking, doesn't anyone ever use capital letters anymore?
Ya know one of these days my daughter and I will be able to write a small expose on hair car products. We have tried so many! I'm sure you know what I mean.
Oh my gosh! What was I originally going to post about?
Yes! Flowers.
As we were pulling into the garage I glanced up and saw my Four O'Clock's were in bloom!
I ran into to the house and grabbed my camera. It was already 7pm and the light was fading fast.
Theses are a few pics I was able to get before the sun was gone.
Remember I said that I lived in Spain for a few years. Well I brought seeds back with me over 15 years ago.
I always thought they were so pretty because on one bush there were pink and yellow blooms.
Isn't this crazy how there are two colors on one bloom!
Oh! The smell! I don't remember the fragrance smelling so wonderful! I wish I could share that with you all too.
They're sort of bushy and go every which way.
I love the way they look against this fence.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a super day! I'm linking to : Suzy"s Artsy Craftsy

A new school year has begun.
It seams like a while since I've posted anything. Sorry about that.
Things always seam to get real hectic when school starts. There's been lots of things going on but I won't bore you with the details. I know you all have been busy too. This year I have been noticing the little kindergarten students. They are so tinny! If I had to do it all over again I might try home schooling. I mean those kidos are so little! I couldn't let my babies go to school that small, much less ride the bus all by themselves. I guess I just had big kids! Ha ha!!! Oh to be in second grade again. Lets learn about money. Sounds more fun that paying bills hua? Ha ha! I did want to show you all this cute idea I made for my students. Again I found this in blog land and have it posted on Pinterest. You can also find the link here. My friend and I filled these bags with treats for their welcome back. We put in pencils, erasers, silly bands and other stuff like that. We were told not to give students candy this year. Well there goes my bribery tools. Ha ha! I hope you all are having a great start to a new school year. (those of you with kids anyway) Thanks for stopping by.
