Chocolate Sheet Cake

My mom called this Texas sheet cake.

This was my dad's favorite cake. I came from a long line of chocolate lovers.

I can remember my dad finishing a meal and he would say, "Now we need a big ole piece of Texas sheet cake". Ha ha I miss him.

I put the icing on only half of the cake. Why you might ask?

My daughter is not a big fan of nuts.

Wouldn't a scoop of vanilla ice cream be good with this?

I must say this is to die for. It so moist and so easy to make. My mom made this all the time. It could be for a special occasion of just because you love chocolate.

My family has made this for as long as I can remember. I haven't made this is in a while because I simply forgot about it.
